Harry And Charlie Wag The Wissahickon: Hike Three

Last week we were thrust into summer for a few days.  I took Harry and Charlie out for a hike on the hottest day.  Luckily, a good portion of our trail was running distance (if you're a dog) to the creek.

We encountered other hikers with and without dogs, runners, mountain bikers, fishermen.  It was a busy day in the Wissahickon!

If you can make out the figure in this photo, the area where he is fishing is a popular swimming spot for dogs and their humans.

On the other side of the bridge, where we were, is where we take Harry and Charlie to swim on hot summer days.  Apparently, some sort of dunking has been practiced here for a long time.

It's a challenge for me to take photos of the pups on these hikes because they are always in motion.  I did snap a couple of them cooling off.
